Zheng Xiaohe was three years old when he was adopted to the village of Yangchan to “be seeding”. There he met a better life from the adoptive parents. They help him read, learn craft, and even marry a wife, become a soldier. Finally the ancestral house was also left to Zheng. After Zheng's retirement he was determined to move back to Yangchan from a city life to keep the ancestral house for his adoptive family and to pass it down from generation to generation, despiting his wife's opposition. Flowers, birds, calligraphy, and helping wife with some farm work “when necessary”, Zheng was having a comfortable retirement life for 10 years.
